Dining Room Chairs

Not all the preparations for the move involve filling boxes, although most of them do.

I found theses chairs at Secondhand Sandies.

I have a pretty good idea of what I want our future dining room to look like. The wood parts of the chairs are perfect, the upholstery was not.

It turned out that under that ugly upholstery was another layer of older, dirtier fabric.

The chairs were also really dusty, so after removing the seats, I washed them off, touched up the stain, and polished them. My assistant carefully inspected my work:

I already had a set of curtains to use in the dining room, but couldn't find upholstery that matched it, so I just bought another set of curtains and used those as upholstery fabric.

A couple weeks after purchasing the chairs, we were able to go back a buy the matching china cabinet.

It has a couple scuff marks I want to fix, but I'm going to wait until after the move to do that.
